GREEK ISLAND ESCAPE

RHODES BLISS

Oh, this holiday was exactly what we needed! A week at The Ixian Suites and Spa in Rhodes was pure sunshine heaven. As an adults-only hotel right on the beach, it was the perfect place to simply relax and recharge.

We visited in July when it was super-hot - ideal for enjoying the amazing pool area. I loved that the beach was literally steps away too, giving us brilliant options each day. The food was a real highlight - we went half-board and enjoyed a different themed buffet each evening. From traditional Greek dishes to Asian fusion nights, everything was delicious and there was loads of it!

BEYOND THE SUNBEDS

We did manage to tear ourselves away from the hotel to explore Rhodes Town - it's only a quick 15-minute taxi ride away. My little insider tip: go early morning (before 10am) when there aren't cruise ships in port. We practically had those beautiful medieval streets to ourselves and wandered around the Palace of the Grand Master without any crowds.

One thing I absolutely loved about The Ixian was being just 20 minutes from the airport. We were poolside with our first cocktails while other travellers were still on their way to their hotels! That's definitely the perfect way to start a holiday!

Rhodes was such a wonderful escape - I'd love to help you discover it too! Whether you're looking for adults-only tranquility or something with more exploration, I'd be happy to share my experiences and suggestions.

Kerela Fam Trip with Riviera Travel 6th – 13th May 2026 I am back from my first-ever trip to India, and what a fantastic experience it was. If you have clients who want to visit India but without the hustle and bustle of the busy cities in the North, Southern India is a great choice. Having been to Sri Lanka in the past, I was able to compare them, and when you consider the proximity of the two, it is understandable that there are many similarities.

I was lucky enough to be invited to spend 3 nights on board the Azamara Journey for their first travel agent’s seminar at sea. I flew out to Seville and took an Uber to the port. Azamara are a fleet of 4 ships and because of their small size, Azamara Journey was able to sail the 70kms, down the river Guadalquivir, which then means the ship docked right in the heart of Seville city centre.
