There are just 150 suites, recently refurbished and re-imagined with soft pastel tones, light woods and woven wicker features. The spacious Beachfront Suites are particularly popular, overlooking the lawn and white-sand beach, while some of the Penthouse Ocean Suites offer an extra dash of romance, with outdoor showers and bathtubs.

The resort has three pools and three Jacuzzis, including the mineral pool, which is filled with water from a natural spring. The main beach is a lovely stretch of sand with plenty of loungers, and there is also a secluded ‘au naturel’ beach and pool area, with its own bar and grill restaurant. The spa offers soothing treatments, beauty services and couple’s massages, and there is also a fitness centre and sporting activities including tennis, aerobics, and unlimited green fees at the Upton Golf & Country Club. The watersports programme is extensive, with snorkelling, scuba diving, Hobie cat sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, windsurfing and waterskiing.
