Contemporary luxury in The Gambia
A stunning hotel built using eco-friendly techniques, the owners Luis and Nina have effortlessly shaped a modern, bold design with cool clean lines, blending into the landscape and offering some of the finest views of any hotel in The Gambia. This adult-only boutique property has consistently been rewarded with a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, recognised for its high-quality finish, spacious gardens and stunning views towards the ocean from its elevated location.
Leo’s is all about tranquillity, relaxation and personal service, reinforced by its small number of rooms and child-free policy. There is peace and quiet to be savoured throughout the property, from beside the pool to the bantaba overlooking the ocean and golden sands below the hotel, accessed via a gently descending series of wooden steps and a short walk. The beach here is beautiful and unspoilt, seemingly stretching endlessly in either direction, perfect for a romantic stroll.
Unrivalled comfort in your room
The hotel’s second-storey rooms, fresh and contemporary, are all housed in the main building and offer a high degree of comfort, with all amenities at your fingertips. The five standard rooms all face the ocean in the distance, with views over the swimming pool and gardens beyond. There is also a larger suite available with a very spacious living room and balcony running the length of the suite, however this does not overlook the main gardens.

The restaurant is another benefit of a stay at Leo’s, with its glowing reputation for delicious, Mediterranean food. The restaurant is popular with local residents, while half board guests are able to dine à la carte (supplements apply for tiger prawns and lobster). There’s no better way to start the day than with a continental breakfast along with hot dishes cooked to order, while enjoying a cool Julbrew as the sun sets will promise an equally memorable end to the day.
With only six rooms, a child-free policy, and its quiet location in Brufut, Leo’s is ideal for a romantic break or for those seeking peace and tranquillity away from the busier tourist resorts. Early booking is strongly recommended.
