AZAMARA CRUISE FAM TRIP REPORT.

I was lucky enough to be invited to spend 3 nights on board the Azamara Quest for their first travel agent’s seminar at sea.

I flew out to Seville and took an Uber to the port. Azamara are a fleet of 4 ships and because of their small size, Azamara Journey was able to sail the 70kms, down the river Guadalquivir, which then means the ship docked right in the heart of Seville city centre.

My outside stateroom was located on deck 4, right next to the guest relations area. The benefit to being in this location was that I was right next to the gangway so getting off the ship was extremely easy. The other reason to pick a lower deck is that if the seas are a little choppy, you cannot feel the movement quite as much as on the higher decks.

They always include a variety of dining options, beer, wine and spirits, all day and night, signature AzAmazing evenings, unlimited self-service laundry and onboard gratuities.

The food and the service was some of the best that I have experienced on a ship. Dietary needs are well catered for, and any special requirements will be discussed with the restaurant manager once you are on board.

There is 1 main dining room, which is open for breakfast and dinner and 2 speciality restaurants that are located on deck 10. These are Prime C, which is their steakhouse, and Aqualina, which is their Italian restaurant. We were lucky enough to be hosted in Aqualina and the food was simply incredible. These restaurants carry an additional charge of around $50.00 per person but it is well worth it.

The pool deck area was very relaxing and had plenty of sunbeds, which were certainly very comfortable.

Every cruise, you will have the opportunity to experience their White Night Party. The decks are cleared and it is set up for the guests to dine al fresco which a sumptuous deck BBQ and a buffet featuring fresh salads, seafood, sushi and the most incredible desserts.

Whilst you are enjoying your fabulous meal, the band are playing and after dinner, you can dance the night away under the stars. It really was a very enjoyable evening.

If you wish to experience a small, boutique style of cruise, and visit ports that the larger ships cannot get into, Azamara are a fabulous choice.

They have more overnight stays than any other cruise line, so you get to spend more time in the beautiful destinations that they visit.
